The July issue of Professional Beauty (not known for pushing social media "influencers") has suggested a few people who do actually know what they are talking about when it comes to makeup and are worth your time.

Ann Marie Harper (Instagram @GlamourGranAnn ) Anne Marie Harper is almost 70 years young though that does not stop her experimenting with makeup. Qualified to talk about her subject, she specialises in makeup for older women whilst also advocating for mental health. With her own training academy and makeup brand , GlamourGranAnn "is on a mission to spread her knowledge and positivity.
James Mac (Instagram @jmac_mua ) Glow up season 2 finalist and known for his bright and bold makeup looks, super sharp graphic eyeliner and drag. Since making it to the final on the TV show, his career has gone from strength to strength. Mac also uses his platform to advocate for Tourettes. He is a judge for the Professional Beauty Makeup competitions and is a regular at many professional trends and techniques professional shows.
Lan Nguyen-Grealis (Instagram @lanslondon ) has worked as a celebrity and fashion makeup artist for over 20 years readying models during Fashion Week and stars at award events alongside her team. Lan has also been a judge for various competitions including the BAFTA television craft awards and BBC's Glow Up.
Nathalie Eleni (Instagram @nathalieeleni_beauty ) has spent over20 years in the industry developing her career as a facialist and makeup artist. As the beauty director of Country and Town House, she uses her experience to investigate the best products on the market. An ideal follow for those that want to know how to combine skincare makeup and tools to create the ultimate radiance. Nathalie works as a celebrity makeup artist on editorial shoots and red carpet events and has worked with many well-known stars.
Joy Adenuga (Instagram @joyadenuga ) is a multi-award winning makeup artist with over 10 years experience. Mainly working with black clients, her to-do list includes many from ethnic minorities. She has also worked on global ad campaigns for Google, Unilever, BBC, Cantu Beauty and more. Joy has also been a jury member for the BAFTAS for makeup and hair design as well as many other award ceremonies.
